Michelle Dee, a strong contender in the Voice for Change category of Miss Universe 2023, has made a mark in the competition with her impassioned video about her advocacy for the empowerment of individuals on the autism spectrum.
Dee, who has two siblings on the autism spectrum, spoke about the importance of acceptance, inclusivity, and empowerment for people with the condition. She also highlighted the Autism Society of the Philippines’ ASP Autism Works program, which helps individuals on the autism spectrum secure employment.
As of November 9, 2023, Dee is leading the Voice for Change category with 208,837 votes, closely followed by Ukraine representative Angelina Usanova with 152,514 votes, and Nicaragua bet Sheynnis Palacios with 119,270 votes.
The public has the opportunity to show their support for Michelle and her advocacy in the Voice for Change category by voting for her on the CI Talks website until November 13, 2023.
