Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC) is set to finalize the acquisition of a 35% stake in Indonesia’s 676-kilometer Trans-Java toll road, potentially bringing in P30 billion in annual revenue.
This deal, confirmed by Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC) chair Manuel Pangilinan, involves collaboration with Singaporean investor GIC and Indonesian toll firm PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT).
The Trans-Java network, which spans West, Central, and East Java, sees about 750,000 to 800,000 vehicles daily. MPTC already operates four toll projects in Indonesia and is expanding its international presence with operations in Vietnam.
Domestically, MPTC’s 284-kilometer network includes major expressways such as NLEx, Cavitex, and the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway.
