Maris Racal became emotional as she watched her film Sunshine for the first time during its premiere at the Far East Film Festival in Udine, Italy.
The actress, dressed in a custom Filipiniana by Filipino designer Marc Rancy, attended the screening alongside director Antoinette Jadaone, as shown in a video Racal shared on Instagram.
The production company also revealed that Sunshine will be featured at the San Diego Asian Film Festival Spring Showcase.
The film tells the story of a young gymnast whose national team career is halted after discovering she is pregnant.
Before its Italian debut, Sunshine was screened at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the prestigious Crystal Bear award.
