President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. warned the public about the spread of fake news and disinformation as the campaign season intensifies.
In his latest vlog, he urged Filipinos to be cautious when consuming information, especially on social media, where intrigues and mudslinging are common during elections.
Marcos, who has been actively supporting the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas coalition, highlighted the value of direct interactions with citizens during campaign rallies.
He emphasized that the testimonies of ordinary Filipinos about government projects cannot be fabricated, as they reflect the real impact of government programs.
While acknowledging that fake news exists year-round, Marcos assured the public that it would not hinder his administration’s commitment to serving the nation.
