President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced the signing of a memorandum of agreement between several government agencies and local governments in Pampanga to combat illegal recruitment and human trafficking.
The agreement involves the Department of Migrant Workers, Department of Labor and Employment, TESDA, OWWA, and the Pampanga provincial government.
Under this partnership, programs will be implemented to address these issues in the province.
Marcos also expressed gratitude to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) for their sacrifices and contributions to the country.
During the event in San Fernando, Pampanga, 3,000 OFWs and their families from typhoon-affected areas received P5,000 in assistance from the DMW’s AKSYON Fund and an additional P5,000 from the Office of the President.
