President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will travel to the United States next month for a four-day working visit from March 8 to 11, with New York as his main destination, Malacañang announced.
Presidential Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said Marcos will attend the opening of the 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women and deliver a message at a special session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The President is also scheduled to meet with several UN officials during the visit. Marcos earlier said he is recovering well from diverticulitis and only needs to build up his strength, following the cancellation of his UN trip last year to focus on local issues.
On Monday, Marcos also led the presentation of the logo marking the 80th anniversary of Philippines–United States relations at Malacañang.
