President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has accepted the courtesy resignations of 17 officials from the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) as part of his ongoing performance review, while reappointing Jay Ruiz as PCO head and Henry Rhoel Aguda as DICT secretary.
The two were reappointed after their previous ad interim appointments were bypassed by the Commission on Appointments due to a lack of time.
Marcos reaffirmed his commitment to strict performance assessments, warning that officials who fail to deliver will be replaced.
Ruiz expressed gratitude for the President’s continued trust and vowed to serve with greater dedication.
PCO Undersecretary Claire Castro confirmed the resignation of Senior Undersecretary Analisa Puod, who had overseen the agency’s strategic communications efforts.
