President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has launched the Centralized Open Monitoring Platform for Appropriations and Spending Statistics (COMPASS), a digital platform that allows Filipinos to track government spending.
He said the initiative aims to make the national budget more transparent, accessible, and easier for the public to understand.
Marcos stressed that openness and accountability are essential to restoring public trust in government.
He also urged agencies to improve budget implementation, reporting, and procurement.
The President likewise endorsed updated public financial management reforms to strengthen transparency and ensure every peso is properly spent.
