President Marcos visited Bataan to inspect newly installed prefabricated classrooms at Mariveles National High School-Alasasin Annex, part of the government’s efforts to address classroom shortages.
The modular classrooms, completed in under two weeks, can accommodate 1,031 students while permanent school buildings are being constructed.
Marcos praised the design and durability of the prefabricated units, emphasizing their role as an immediate solution to overcrowding.
During his visit, he also observed the Xepto Learning Management System, oversaw the distribution of learning tablets, and participated in the YAKAP at Kalinga Caravan providing free medical services to students and school personnel.
Additionally, Marcos toured the prefabricated plant in Barangay Alasasin, highlighting the government’s push for faster education infrastructure delivery amid rising oil prices.
