President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. answered citizens’ questions about his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA), including how he prepared his speech and the issues he discussed.
Marcos said he personally wrote the opening and closing parts of the 1-hour-and-26-minute address.
He also explained that his sister, Irene Marcos-Araneta, helps choose his barongs and other outfits for the SONA.
The President said some important topics were left out because the speech was already lengthy, but these issues remain priorities.
He also responded to a youth health advocate’s call to prioritize a bill raising excise taxes on alcohol and other health-related measures.
