Marck Espejo recently celebrated a decade with the Philippine men’s national volleyball team by playing a key role in the country’s debut at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship.
Despite a tough loss to Tunisia, Espejo made history by scoring his first kill and ace in the tournament, showcasing his leadership alongside star player Bryan Bagunas.
The 28-year-old five-time UAAP MVP has been a trailblazer for Filipino volleyball, gaining international experience and helping the team earn a silver medal in the 2019 SEA Games.
Espejo expressed hope that the World Championship and growing support will boost men’s volleyball in the Philippines.
His career has taken him abroad to play professionally in Japan, Thailand, Bahrain, and South Korea, where he also won a championship.
