Manila Water customers will face a slight rate increase starting in April, as announced by the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) on March 13.
The rate adjustments, which will apply to regular households from April to June, will not affect low-income households or those under the enhanced lifeline program, whose rates will remain unchanged.
This marks the third rate hike since October 2024, with increases ranging from P0.21 to P0.90 per cubic meter depending on consumption levels.
Additionally, the MWSS Board approved a 1.39% increase in the Foreign Currency Differential Adjustment (FCDA) for Manila Water’s second-quarter rates.
While Manila Water will adjust rates, Maynilad Water Services, which serves the West Concession Area, will not implement any changes for the next quarter.
