She accused certain groups of manipulating public opinion for political gain, stating that these tactics hinder the city’s efforts to provide honest and beneficial services.
Sandoval warned residents to be cautious when sharing social media content and to verify information from official sources.
The city government recently reported the creation of fake Facebook accounts impersonating Sandoval and her husband, former Congressman Ricky Sandoval, which were used to solicit personal information under the pretense of offering promotions.
Sandoval pledged to take legal action against those responsible for spreading false information.
