MALABON HOSPITAL EYES LEVEL 2 ACCREDITATION WITH NEW EXTENSION

Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said the Ospital ng Malabon is preparing to be accredited as a Level 2 hospital following the groundbreaking of its new six-story extension.

She said the expansion will significantly upgrade the hospital’s services and capacity to meet the growing health needs of residents.

OsMal chief Dr. Jennifere Amolo-Lim noted that the facility has long operated as a Level 1 hospital, but the new building will serve as a bridge toward higher-level care.

City officials said the project will allow OsMal to establish its own ICU and NICU, offer departmentalized clinical services, and house advanced diagnostic and laboratory facilities.

Once completed, the extension will add 16 beds and help reduce overcrowding while allowing Malabueños to access specialized care without leaving the city.
