Maine Mendoza defended her husband, actor-politician Arjo Atayde, amid allegations of involvement with controversial contractors Sarah and Curlee Discaya, urging the public to consider “three sides to every story.”
She denied that their wealth came from taxpayers’ money, emphasizing their financial independence from politics and condemning the accusations of stealing.
Mendoza said she would never defend Atayde if he were guilty, but maintained he has never crossed the line of dishonesty or theft.
She called for due process and warned that legal action would be taken to clear Atayde’s name.
Meanwhile, Atayde also denied the claims and is contemplating legal steps to fight the allegations.
