Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla denied claims that he tried to block Senators Pia Cayetano and Robin Padilla, along with 18 former soldiers, from entering the Senate on June 4.
The denial came after Cayetano alleged that she and the resource persons for a flood control hearing were prevented from reaching the session hall.
Videos circulating online showed Remulla being pushed by Padilla, sparking online discussion and criticism.
Remulla clarified that he was simply walking out when he was pushed aside and insisted there was no attempt to block anyone.
He added that he was alone at the time and had no intention of stopping the group.
