Joaquin Arce, stepson of actress Angel Locsin, addressed criticisms calling him a “nepo baby,” saying he wants to earn his place in the entertainment industry through hard work.
The son of businessman Neil Arce acknowledged benefiting from his family’s success but emphasized he prefers to climb the “ladder” on his own rather than taking shortcuts.
Joaquin said being a nepo baby isn’t inherently bad, noting that his family achieved success through hard work and integrity.
He also expressed gratitude to Angel Locsin and her supporters for defending him against online criticism.
Before joining “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0,” Joaquin even asked his family to limit voting for him to ensure he truly earned his standing.
