JENO SETS SIGHTS ON K2 AFTER CONQUERING EVEREST

Just a month after summiting Mount Everest, Filipino climber Jeno Panganiban is now setting his sights on K2, the world’s second-highest — and more technically challenging — peak.

The La Salle Computer Science major announced his plans to attempt the K2 summit by June 26 next year, during a homecoming event hosted by his sponsor, Century Tuna.

Panganiban was one of three Filipinos to reach Everest’s peak recently, marking the country’s first successful ascent in nearly two decades.

Acknowledging K2’s difficulty, Panganiban said he will begin training next month to prepare for the climb.

He expressed gratitude to Century Tuna for their last-minute support, while the company praised him as an inspiration for pursuing bold and challenging dreams.
