Israel launched a massive military campaign against Iran on Friday, striking nuclear facilities, missile factories, and military leadership in what Prime Minister Netanyahu called “Operation Rising Lion.”
Israeli airstrikes reportedly killed top Iranian commanders and scientists, while Mossad conducted covert sabotage operations inside Iran.
Iran denied retaliating with drone strikes but confirmed civilian casualties and vowed revenge, as its Revolutionary Guards’ chief and others were killed.
The United States distanced itself from the attack, calling it a “unilateral action,” though an Israeli official claimed Washington had been informed in advance.
Global powers, including Russia and China, condemned the strikes, warning of escalation as tensions in the region reached a critical point.
