INDONESIAN FIGHTER JEKA SARAGIH SECURES VICTORY IN UFC DEBUT

Jeka Saragih made history not only by being the first Indonesian to fight in the UFC, but also by winning his first bout in the world’s top combat sports organization.

Saragih defeated his Brazilian opponent Lucas Alexander by knockout in the first round of their fight at UFC Fight Night 198 on Saturday night. Saragih was able to land a solid right hand that knocked Alexander out cold.

Saragih’s celebration was rapturous, but the fighter displayed humility in his post-match interview. He said that he was just happy to get the win and that he was grateful for the opportunity to fight in the UFC.

Saragih’s win is a major accomplishment for Indonesian mixed martial arts. He is the first Indonesian to win a fight in the UFC and he is now expected to be a major prospect in the featherweight division.

Saragih’s next fight is expected to be in early 2024. He is likely to face a more experienced opponent in his next bout, but he is confident that he can continue to win and make a name for himself in the UFC.
