Thailand’s Naprichit Pudla and Estonia’s Trina Trei dominated the Freestyle division as the ICTSI-Philippine Kiteboarding Tour (PKT) Season 11 kicked off in Calatagan, Batangas, showcasing spectacular tricks and technical mastery.
The event, held under ideal wind and water conditions, also highlighted the growth of Filipino talent, with riders matching international competitors in skill and creativity.
Filipino standout Waner Janoya, who recently won a SEA Games bronze in Foil Racing, exemplifies the country’s rising competitiveness in the sport.
Philippine Kiteboarding Association president Jay Ortiz said the PKT is key to developing local champions and promoting the Philippines as a premier sports tourism destination.
The three-stage circuit also featured Hangtime, Twin Tip Racing, Foil Racing, and Grandmasters and Novice divisions, reflecting its inclusive approach to nurturing athletes across all ages and skill levels.
