The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) has issued new subpoenas to former congressman Zaldy Co, ordering him to appear on Nov. 11 and 12 for its probe into alleged anomalies in flood control projects.
ICI spokesman Brian Hosaka said the subpoenas were sent to Co’s residences in Pasig City and Bicol, adding that the commission may cite him in contempt if he continues to ignore the summons.
Hosaka also clarified that Sen. Bong Go has not been invited to appear, contrary to claims by former senator Antonio Trillanes IV, who has filed graft and plunder complaints linking Go and his family to ₱6.95 billion worth of projects.
Trillanes alleged that companies owned by Go’s father and brother benefited from the contracts during the Duterte administration.
The ICI has acknowledged receipt of Trillanes’ documents as it continues its corruption probe despite limited resources.
