Former Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo has requested the Department of Justice (DOJ) to dismiss the qualified human trafficking complaint against her.
Guo argues that the evidence presented, including “mere electric bills and documents” from Baofu Land Development, Inc., does not prove her involvement in human trafficking.
She claims that the allegations are being used by individuals for political gain rather than to uncover the truth.
Guo has filed a motion to reopen the preliminary investigation and include her counter-affidavit in support of her request for dismissal.
The complaint stems from a raid on a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hosted at a property linked to Baofu Land Development.
