Health experts from the Philippines joined regional counterparts in signing a Memorandum of Understanding during the 9th Asia Dengue Summit 2026 in Singapore to strengthen dengue surveillance and outbreak response across Southeast Asia.
The agreement brings together policymakers, scientists, clinicians, and advocacy groups from the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore.
The initiative aims to promote knowledge sharing, joint advocacy, research collaboration, and policy harmonization on dengue prevention.
Philippine Medical Association representatives Dr. Rose Capeding and Dr. Lulu Bravo participated in the regional effort.
Capeding emphasized the need for stronger collaboration among countries and health sectors to improve dengue management and help eradicate cases in the region.
