Senator Sherwin Gatchalian has renewed his call for suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo to surrender voluntarily to the Senate, warning that evading capture would disrupt her life.
Speaking to reporters, Gatchalian expressed confidence that Guo remains in the Philippines but stressed uncertainty over her compliance with the Senate’s arrest order.
The Senate issued the order after Guo and others failed to attend a hearing on allegations related to illegal Philippine offshore gaming operations.
Gatchalian plans to investigate Guo’s associates and financial activities should she continue to evade Senate proceedings, emphasizing the gravity of the accusations against her and her associates.
