Motorists are facing another round of fuel price hikes today, with significant increases across diesel and kerosene prices.
Oil giants Shell, Caltex, and Seaoil are raising gasoline prices by P1.65 per liter, diesel by P2.70 per liter, and kerosene by P2.50 per liter.
Other companies like PetroGazz, Cleanfuel, PTT Philippines, and Jetti will implement similar adjustments, though they do not offer kerosene.
This marks the third consecutive fuel price hike, with the Department of Energy attributing the increase to new sanctions imposed by the US and UK on Russian oil companies.
These sanctions are aimed at crippling Russia’s energy revenue and affecting its war efforts amidst the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.
