Singer Darren Espanto marks his 11th year in the entertainment industry with the release of his new album Ikaw Pa Rin under Star Music, signaling what he calls a “new era” in his career.
Now 24, Espanto reflected on his evolution from a shy 16-year-old The Voice Kids Philippines finalist into a confident, hands-on artist focused on producing and performing original music.
He shared that his growth extends beyond musicality, noting how he’s learned to express his creative vision more clearly and embrace his compositions.
Inspired by mentors like Sarah Geronimo and Jonathan Manalo, Darren now aims to fill future concerts with mostly original songs.
The 3-year-in-the-making album features collaborations with Angela Ken, Belle Mariano, and DJ M.O.D., showcasing a more mature and evolved sound.
