FRAUDULENT MESSAGES SPIKE: DICT CALLS FOR PUBLIC COOPERATION

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has called on the public to report text scams as cases of fraudulent messages continue to rise.

These scams often include phishing links or fake offers aimed at stealing personal and financial information.

DICT reminded users to remain cautious and avoid clicking suspicious links, even if they appear legitimate.

They also urged mobile network providers to strengthen their systems against such scams.

The public can report incidents through the DICT’s dedicated hotline or online platforms to help curb the growing problem.
