First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos received an early birthday surprise from Kris Aquino and her sons, Josh and Bimby, despite the long political rivalry between the Marcos and Aquino families.
Araneta-Marcos shared photos of their meeting and thanked Kris, Josh and Bimby for the advance birthday cakes.
The First Lady, who will turn 67 on Aug. 21, said the gesture warmed her heart and made her feel blessed.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. previously said that the families remain cordial outside of politics, with his wife considering Josh and Bimby her nephews.
Araneta-Marcos is related by marriage to the Cojuangco-Aquino family, whose members played key roles in the 1986 People Power Revolution.
