A recent survey conducted by Grab, a popular super app, has shown that many Filipinos are excited to travel to Southeast Asian countries in 2024.
The survey found that seven out of ten Filipinos are eager to go on international trips with their families to visit famous tourist destinations in Southeast Asia.
The survey also revealed that 82 percent of respondents expressed a desire to take more than two trips, indicating a strong recovery in travel demand after the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.
Additionally, around 66 percent of those surveyed mentioned that they plan to travel with their families and relatives.
The report further highlighted that 47 percent of respondents were planning international trips with their spouses, while 38 percent were interested in having getaways with friends.
This suggests that Filipinos are eager to create special memories with their loved ones during their travels.
The survey also identified popular destinations for Filipino travelers, including neighboring countries like Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
Outside of the Southeast Asian region, Japan, South Korea, and the United States were among the favorite choices for Filipino tourists.
Before embarking on their trips, Filipinos are shown to be diligent in planning. They carefully craft itineraries, choose suitable hotels, apply for visas, and make sure to secure any other necessary travel essentials.
Overall, the survey indicates that Filipinos are enthusiastic about exploring Southeast Asia and creating memorable experiences with their families and friends while traveling.
