FILIPINO WORKERS’ WELFARE STAYS CENTRAL FOCUS FOR 20TH CONGRESS, SAYS ROMUALDEZ

House Speaker Martin Romualdez assured Filipino workers that their welfare remains a top priority in the 20th Congress during the 102nd birth anniversary of ALU-TUCP founders.

He emphasized the House’s commitment to passing laws that protect workers’ rights, provide decent wages, and improve social protections.

Romualdez paid tribute to ALU-TUCP founder Democrito Mendoza, highlighting his lasting influence on the labor movement and workers’ justice.

He also praised current TUCP Party-list Rep. Raymond Mendoza for continuing the legacy of defending workers’ rights in Congress.

Romualdez described the event as personal, noting his family ties to the labor advocate’s descendants and expressing his dedication to serving the Filipino working class.
