FAKE VISA DOCUMENTS COULD RESULT IN ARREST, LIFETIME BAN, US EMBASSY SAYS

The US Embassy in Manila warned visa applicants that using fake documents or providing false information could lead to arrest, criminal prosecution, and a lifetime ban from entering the United States.

The embassy said a recent visa fraud case resulted in the arrest of an applicant who submitted falsified documents.

Consular officers also notify Philippine authorities when they detect fraudulent documents during the visa process.

The embassy stressed that visa fraud is treated as a serious offense with no exceptions.

It urged the public to report suspected visa fraud to the embassy.
