The Philippine National Police has relieved all members of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 14B in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region following allegations of hazing against newly graduated recruits.
More than 70 personnel were removed and replaced with members of Battalion 14A, with at least 12 identified as suspects and several others listed as “John Does.”
The alleged hazing occurred on February 6, shortly after the recruits completed their Basic Internal Security Operations Course, and involved violent initiation rituals.
Investigations are ongoing, with victims undergoing medical examinations and over 110 individuals filing complaints so far.
The PNP emphasized its zero-tolerance policy, warning that negligent supervisors will face administrative sanctions and direct perpetrators may face charges under the Anti-Hazing Act.
