A Filipino voter has filed a formal complaint before the Commission on Elections (Comelec), accusing former President Rodrigo Duterte, his sons, and allies of receiving campaign support from Chinese-funded digital operations.
The complaint alleges that at least 15 pro-Duterte candidates benefited from coordinated online disinformation networks backed by foreign interests.
Forensic evidence submitted includes metadata, bot activity, and traffic analysis linking the operations to China-based infrastructure.
Those named include Paolo and Sebastian Duterte, Sens. Bong Go and Bato Dela Rosa, and other Duterte allies like Apollo Quiboloy and Vic Rodriguez.
Comelec has confirmed receipt of the complaint and is currently reviewing its legal merits, while the Duterte camp has yet to respond.
