COMELEC CALLS ON OVERSEAS FILIPINOS TO REGISTER FOR INTERNET VOTING

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has launched the enrollment period for the Online Voting and Counting System (OVCS) for the May 12 midterm elections, urging over 1.2 million overseas voters to register.

Comelec Chairperson George Garcia emphasized that registered overseas voters must enroll to verify their identity and obtain a password for voting.

Enrollment can be completed online via the Comelec website or through voting kiosks set up at Philippine posts.

The deadline for enrollment is May 7, and the overseas voting period runs from April 13 to May 12, with voters selecting 12 senators and one party-list group.

Comelec advised voters to be cautious of fraudulent websites and only use official sources for enrollment.
