Akbayan Party-list Rep. Perci Cendaña claimed that the Duterte family may be afraid of former senator Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes IV, questioning why they have pursued legal action against the media and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) but not against him.
In a social media post on Saturday, Oct. 24, Cendaña suggested that the family’s actions may be driven by fear of Trillanes, a longtime critic.
Trillanes recently drew attention to alleged business connections and financial leads involving Vice President Sara Duterte amid her impeachment proceedings.
Cendaña also accused the Duterte family of filing cases when their alleged wrongdoings are exposed.
He stressed that legal threats would not stop the public from demanding accountability.
