Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro was officially sworn in as the provincial council president of PDP-Laban for Cebu, but emphasized that her leadership will remain nonpartisan and focused on inclusive governance.
During her oath-taking in Manila, she assured that her political affiliation would not affect how she collaborates with local officials across party lines.
Baricuatro clarified she has no plans to persuade Cebu mayors to join PDP, saying her priority is provincial service delivery, not party expansion.
She reaffirmed that her role in PDP does not signal a shift in her governance style and continues to work with national agencies toward shared development goals.
The governor underscored her commitment to “colorless” leadership, stating that public service must rise above political divisions.
