The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) denied Alice Guo and two others’ request to extend their stay at the quarantine area of the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City.
BuCor ordered the transfer of Guo, Jaimielyn Cruz, and Rachelle Joan Carreon to the regular dormitory of the Reception and Diagnostic Center (RDC).
The three were convicted by the Pasig Regional Trial Court for qualified trafficking and other offenses linked to a POGO operation in Tarlac.
Under BuCor regulations, newly committed inmates stay in quarantine for five days before undergoing a mandatory 55-day orientation, diagnostic, and classification period to assess their psychological and physical needs.
The RDC provides programs and educational sessions to help inmates adjust to prison life while understanding their rights and facility rules.
