BONG GO PUSHES FOR FULL UHC LAW ROLLOUT AMID RISING HEALTHCARE CONCERNS

Senator Bong Go urged the full and swift implementation of the Universal Health Care (UHC) Law amid growing concerns about healthcare accessibility among Filipinos.

A survey revealed that 70% of adult Filipinos are anxious about staying healthy, with many avoiding hospitalization due to financial fears.

Go emphasized that health care should be a right, not a privilege, highlighting the role of Malasakit Centers in reducing medical expenses for low-income families.

Under the Malasakit Centers Act of 2019, 166 centers nationwide have assisted over 15 million Filipinos by consolidating support from various government agencies.

The senator reiterated his call to strengthen health services to ensure no Filipino fears seeking medical help due to costs.
