BFP SEEKS TO MODERNIZE FIRE INSPECTION PERMIT PROCESS

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is working with the Department of Information and Communications Technology and the Anti-Red Tape Authority to integrate its fire inspection permit system with local government eBOSS platforms, aiming to speed up business permit processing.

BFP officials said the project includes system development, testing, and a nationwide rollout to simplify applications and reduce waiting time for business owners.

Meanwhile, the BFP also strengthened its partnership with Japan’s Fire Disaster Management Agency to enhance the capabilities of Filipino first responders.

The two agencies are also discussing preparations for the Philippines to host an international forum on disaster management.

BFP officials said the collaboration will help improve fire protection and emergency response nationwide.
