Actress Bea Alonzo filed three separate criminal cases for cyber libel at the Office of the City Prosecutor of Quezon City against veteran showbiz columnists, along with other co-hosts of their online shows.
Her lawyer, Atty. Joey V. Garcia stated that this is the first time Bea has pursued legal action despite enduring defamatory and malicious statements against her character for over two decades in the entertainment industry.
The complaints are supported with proper evidence, and Alonzo’s camp hopes for a quick resolution and expects the respondents to be summoned by the Office of the City Prosecutor. The respondents in the case have not yet released any statements.
Additionally, Alonzo’s lawyer reminded social media personalities to exercise caution and responsibility in their online interactions.
