A Pampanga regional trial court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants against former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, businesswoman Cassandra Ong, and others for alleged human trafficking linked to Lucky South 99 Corp., a POGO hub raided in Porac.
The court found probable cause for violations of the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2022, related to forced labor and involuntary servitude.
The Department of Justice accused Roque of participating in organizing the POGO firm and acting as a lawyer for the company leasing the raided compound.
Roque left the Philippines in September and is currently seeking political asylum in the Netherlands, claiming the charges are politically motivated.
The DOJ plans to request an Interpol red notice for Roque and inform the Dutch government, while Roque vows to pursue all legal remedies.
