2,000 FAMILIES AFFECTED BY PINYAHAN FIRE GET AID FROM PCSO, MMDA, QC LGU

Around 2,000 families displaced by a fire in Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City, received relief assistance from the PCSO, MMDA, and the Quezon City LGU.

The aid included “Charitimba” buckets with food and essentials, as well as modular evacuation tents distributed at the Risen Garden inside Quezon City Hall.

The distribution was led by PCSO General Manager Melquiades A. Robles, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, and MMDA General Manager Nicolas Torre III.

The fire, which broke out on March 6 along NIA Road, reached Task Force Bravo status and forced thousands to evacuate.

Currently, 1,907 families are staying in various evacuation centers, with officials emphasizing coordination to provide temporary shelter and immediate support while recovery efforts continue.
