YOUNG DINAGATNON BRINGS HOME GOLD FROM JAPAN SCIENCE CONTEST

The province of Dinagat Islands celebrated the achievement of Grade 13 student Glaizel Morados after she won a gold medal at the Southeast Asia International Science Olympiad in Osaka, Japan. 

Governor Nilo Demerey Jr. praised Morados’ brilliance and dedication, saying her victory brought pride to her school and the entire province. 

Morados studies at Don Ruben Edera Ecleo Sr. Memorial National High School in San Jose town and was mentored by coach John Kenneth Villareal. 

The provincial government awarded Morados and her coach a total of ₱77,000 in cash assistance in recognition of her feat. 

Earlier this year, Morados also secured a silver medal at the national round of the same competition.
