President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. inspected the new Walang Gutom Kitchen in Catbalogan City, Samar, ahead of its expected opening in October.
The facility, the fourth nationwide, will provide up to 200 free meals daily to vulnerable Filipinos.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development said the kitchen will also offer counseling, social assistance, and tutoring services.
The facility is a partnership between the DSWD and the Samar provincial government under the Tutok at Aksyon sa Nutrisyon Kitchen program.
It will serve homeless individuals, street dwellers, low-income workers, and others experiencing involuntary hunger.
