VOTERS LIST CLEANSED: COMELEC DELETES 694,000 REGISTRATIONS

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has removed nearly 694,000 registered voters from its list in preparation for the 2024 midterm elections. 

The deletions include 249,343 due to death, 220,644 who moved to new locations, and 179,141 who were found to have double registrations. 

Additionally, 42,236 voters were removed after applying to vote overseas, and 2,194 entries were eliminated due to duplication. 

Following these updates, the total number of registered voters is now 67,839,861.
