More informal settler families in Valenzuela City are now closer to owning the land they have occupied for decades through the expanded Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.
Over 200 residents from Barangay Parada received assistance under the Enhanced Community Mortgage Program, allowing them to secure a 2,318-square-meter property.
The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, through the Social Housing Finance Corporation, provided over P9 million for land acquisition and related taxes.
Officials said the program aims not only to provide housing but also to restore dignity and improve the quality of life of low-income families.
Nationwide, more than 7,700 families have benefited from 45 approved projects under the expanded 4PH program since July 2025.
