The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is preparing early for the 2028 presidential elections with a two-year registration for overseas voters starting this November and running until 2027.
Comelec Chairman George Garcia said all Filipino citizens abroad who are at least 18 years old on Election Day and not disqualified by law are eligible to register.
There were 1,241,690 registered overseas voters in the May 2025 elections.
Meanwhile, voter registration for the upcoming barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections has been rescheduled from July to October this year.
The registration period for these local elections will run from late October 2023 until July 2026.
