TRANSPARENCY PORTALS FOR SSS AND PHILHEALTH NOW ONLINE, DICT PLEDGES EXPANSION

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has launched transparency portals for SSS and PhilHealth and plans to roll out more for other agencies.

The portals, powered by AI, will allow the public to track projects and spending, similar to the DPWH’s existing system.

DICT Secretary Henry Aguda said government-owned corporations will likely be the first to have portals, as their data is already digital and accessible.

Future portals may include not just funds but also key metrics, such as classrooms built for DepEd or patient numbers for DOH.

Talks are ongoing with agencies including DepEd, DOH, and the Department of Agriculture, though no specific timeline has been set.
