A recent Pulse Asia survey reveals that 61% of Filipinos back the House of Representatives quad committee’s investigations into extrajudicial killings (EJKs), illegal drugs, and Philippine offshore gaming operations (POGOs), signaling strong public trust in efforts to combat corruption.
Lawmakers, particularly from the “Young Guns” group, hailed the survey result as a significant endorsement of the House’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
The quad committee, which has held 13 hearings, recommended filing crimes against humanity charges against former President Rodrigo Duterte and key allies for their roles in the controversial drug war.
The panel also suggested charges for several former law enforcement officials, including Senators Ronald Dela Rosa and Bong Go.
The investigation continues as the committee pursues justice for victims of EJKs and other abuses.
